How do I book a seat on route 66?

To book a seat on Route 66, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit our website at www.ssl.fo.
  2. Click on "Book Ticket" in the top right corner menu.
  3. Complete your booking and make payment using your credit or debit card.
  4. You will receive an email confirmation once your booking is successfully completed.

When can I book a seat?

You can book a seat up to 2 months before your intended journey, right up until the time of departure.

Can I book a return ticket?

Yes, you can book both return tickets and single tickets.

Do I need to book a space?

While we recommend booking in advance, passengers with reservations have priority and seating is limited due to high demand.

If you arrive without a reservation and seats are available after boarding reserved passengers, you may still be able to secure a seat onboard.

 

Do I have to be a registered user?

No, you can book without an SSL profile and pay using a credit card.

 

Are there any advantages to being a registered user?

No, there are no specific advantages for registered users when traveling to Skúvoy, as discounts are not available on this route. However, having an SSL profile allows you to view all your bookings across all our routes when you log in.

How do I know if there are seats available on my intended journey?

The number of available seats is indicated in parentheses next to the available journeys.

 

Is there a waiting list?

No, there is no waiting list available. However, you can join the queue for passengers who have not booked and wait for an available seat to become available.

 

Can I cancel a booked journey?

Yes, at the bottom of your receipt, there is a link where you can manage your booking. From there, you can edit your booking details or cancel your journey.

When can I expect to receive the refund for the cancelled journey?

Refunds are usually processed within 2-5 business days. For international transactions, it may take up to 30 days, depending on your credit or debit card issuer. If you have not received your refund within this period, please contact your bank or card issuer for further assistance.

Can I change a booked journey?

Yes, you can make changes to your booking using the link provided at the bottom of your receipt.

 

Will I be refunded if I cancel a journey?

You will receive a refund if the journey is canceled at least 2 hours before departure.

 

Will I get a refund if I do not show up on time?

No, refunds are not provided if you fail to show up for your scheduled departure.

 

Will I need to show my receipt when I board?

Yes, you will need to present the QR code on your receipt. A crew member will scan the QR code for verification.

 

I haven't received a receipt, what should I do?

Please ensure that the email address provided during booking is correct. Also, check your spam folder for the receipt email.

 

I haven't booked. Can I still show up?

We recommend pre-booking a seat on the boat as passengers with reservations have priority boarding. However, if there are available seats, you can board and purchase your ticket on the spot.
