From Monday the 21st of August it is also possible to pre-book tickets for route 56 between Klaksvík and Kalsoy. Since the ferry Sam, which is the regular ferry on route 56, will undergo a 3 week docking from the 21st of August – 10th of September, the ferry Erla Kongsdóttir will cover route 56 this period. It is, therefore, only possible to pre-book until the 10th of September, in the first instance. From the 10th of September, it will be possible to book for passengers and cars on the ferry Sam, since Sam will be back on route 56.
Erla Kongsdóttir can take up to 96 passengers and no vehicles. In the first instance, it is only possible to pre-book until the 10th of September 2023. From the 10th of September, it will be possible to book for passengers and cars on the ferry Sam, since Sam will be back on route 56.
You can use bus route 506 in Kalsoy, which stops in all villages in Kalsoy.
